Butcher the Arabs

Israelští fascisté každoročně oslavují dobytí a annexi Východního Jerusaléma židovským státem: „Je to novodobý a nepříliš významný svátek v židovském kalendáři, ale je důvodem k radostným oslavám.“ Letos se bělokošiláči neomezili na průvod v Západním Jerusalémě, ale po vzoru orangistů jich 40 000 poprvé mašírovalo též ve Východním.

Odpůrci rasismu se shromáždili na antidemonstraci: „Inside the neighbourhood several hundred people gathered, with a group of them trading insults with a protest group of around 30 left-wingers holding banners reading: “Jewish-Arab solidarity against Fascism” and “Illegal settlements in east Jerusalem are an obstacle to peace.”“

Ochránci lidských práv v Gush Shalom Jerusalémský den kommentují takto: „Gush Shalom calls for abolition of "Jerusalem Day" and its removal from Israeli calendars, because it is a false holiday commemorating a false event. What is called "The Unification of Jerusalem" was in fact but the creation of a regime of occupation and oppression over the Palestinians of East Jerusalem.“
