Jediným racionálním vyjádřením tak zůstává výrok londýnského rabína Davida Goldberga: "Velice mě zaráží, jak jsou někteří činitelé ve Vatikánu odtrženi od reality, což odráží i jejich neschopnost porozumět židovskému myšlení [zdůrazněno mnou] či neschopnost vypořádat se s vlnou kritiky, která se nyní proti církvi po celém světě zvedla."
